Firmly in the top tier of Edinburgh's countless architectural treasures, it's no wonder that the iconic Moray Place frequently doubles as a key location in feature films and period dramas. Horse-drawn carriages, Edwardian nannies, and top-hatted gentry have all been spotted whilst the cameras rolled! Moray Place's stately facades encircle idyllic gardens, making this in every sense the spiritual centre of Edinburgh's prestigious Moray Estate

But for many of our returning guests it's simply synonymous with their cosy, private and welcoming home-from-home. No more, no less.

Despite being on this grandest of historic streets, you'll enter an informal and convivial base for your Edinburgh stay. Spacious, thanks to its ingenious semi-open-plan layout; relaxed, thanks to considered and clearly demarcated living areas; and private, thanks to its own front door and pleasant courtyard, each reserved for your exclusive use.

Once inside your eyes are immediately met by a generous Sitting Room, kept bright & airy by an original sash window with working shutters. Given that this is the principal space it's the hub of the house - comfortably furnished and soft on the eye, with a premium and subtle Scottish flair. Adjoining this, a very spacious enclave easily accommodates a full-size quality dining table, which can even be extended on request (...guests have successfully hosted family Christmas lunches here!). Handily adjoining this, a modern Kitchen incorporates every convenience, huge storage space and endless worktops in solid wood - all of it generously lit by two large windows overlooking your courtyard.

As the day ends a (5'0") king-size bed awaits, to recharge your batteries for adventures that follow. Wonderfully comfortable, secluded and luxuriously paneled, the muted palette of this warmly-lit space provides peaceful detachment from the rest of the apartment. Mere footsteps away you'll find a generous Bathroom, dominated by a huge walk-in rainfall shower but well-lit and large enough to leave plenty of space for hair and make-up.

Doubtless you'll spend most of your visit occupied by the sights & sounds of Edinburgh, but those days will be rendered even more enjoyable knowing they're topped-and-tailed by the calm of this Moray Place treasure to call home...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moray Place. The bed was extremely comfortable, we slept 12 hours straight after 24 hours of travel! The apartment not only looked wonderful, but also worked well. All appliances were in perfect working order and had clear instructions. All the lights worked, shower was large with great water temperature and pressure. The kitchen had every utensil we needed, and more! For those bothered by noise, this apartment is wonderfully quiet! Moray Place is a great location, we walked everywhere, but had our lovely little oasis to come back to in the evening. You will not regret staying here, we can't wait to return!

What a discovery and what a place! Right at the heart of Edinburgh's smartest neighborhood this spacious apartment wants for nothing. And despite being at the heart of everything it's whisper quiet, with the best bed ever. The kitchen is better equipped than our own at home, the bathroom is luxurious with a huge and powerful rainfall shower, and the main accommodation is just so thoughtfully done and smartly furnished. Two blocks one way takes you to Stockbridge with its village vibe and two blocks the other to upscale George Street, it couldn't be better placed to walk everywhere.

Martin and Weng were incredibly helpful and everything about check-in went smoothly. The flat is immaculate and looks even better than in the pictures. The neighborhood was absolutely gorgeous (with the added bonus of filming happening nearby and there were a bunch of extras strolling around the neighborhood in period costume. It was magical). The shower was heavenly, the kitchen was well appointed and the washer/dryer was so wonderful to have. Even the iron is first rate. We cannot imagine a better place in Edinburgh. We hope to come back and stay again and again.

It was so clean, organized, and cozy, and the owners were so thoughtful and responsive throughout, that it felt more like staying at a friends home than at a vacation rental. We spent an absolutely lovely 3 days in Weng & Martin's place towards the end of a 4 week UK trip. We have stayed in 9 other rentals on this vacation, and all have been welcoming, attractive and comfortable. But this flat is in a class of its own. It is gorgeously decorated, thoughtful touches throughout, well-equipped. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely, in a circle of Georgian town homes across from a private garden. A 5-10 minute walk in any direction takes you to Stockbridge, with its shops, bars and restaurants, or to New Town or to the Castle District. We look forward to returning to Edinburgh someday, both to visit this wonderful city AND to stay in this flat again!

Such a great place to stay in Edinburgh. The apartment really is in the perfect location; 5min walk down into Stockbridge and 10mins over to George Street and Princes Street for the restaurants and shops. The street is really quiet and the apartment is a great size for two people. The shower was hot and powerful, all the joining/leaving instructions were easy to follow and the apartment is exactly like the photos if not better. Weng and Martin were on hand for any advice we needed and were very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment.

We were lucky enough to stay for 3 nights in this building that began life in around 1770 and is still looking elegant and majestic.
